Physics Class 11 CBSE
In Class 11, students can opt to join the science stream.  This also depends on their previous academic performance.  The CBSE physics syllabus and curriculum for class 11 prepares students to take up physics in college and university.

The units in Physics studied in Class 11 by CBSE students are as follows:
  • Physical World and Measurement
  • Kinematics
  • Laws of Motion
  • Work, Energy and Power
  • Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body
  • Gravitation
  • Properties of Bulk Matter
  • Thermodynamics
  • Behavior of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory of Gases
  • Oscillation and Waves

The continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) pattern which has both formative and summative assessments enables students to learn physics concepts in a thorough manner.  Students become well-versed in the theory studied at the class 11 physics level.  At the same time, they also learn about how they can practically apply the knowledge with the help of projects, assignments, etc.

Students need to refer to previous year question papers of physics for Class 11 in order to achieve excellent grades.  Sufficient practice with the help of previous year question papers will ensure that students review and understand concepts in a thorough manner.  They will also learn how to tackle tricky questions and also write answers with ease if they are familiar with the question paper pattern.  The physics question paper normally consists of 1, 2, 3 and 5 mark questions.  Short objective type questions as well as long questions which include problems normally form the basis of previous physics question paper.  It is important for students to be very careful while working out physics problem.  Students also need to manage their time very well in order to get top scores in physics.  For all this, sufficient practice with previous year question papers of physics class 11 CBSE will ensure that students consistently achieve top grades.
