CBSE is the short for Central Board for Secondary Education which was set up by NCERT which stands for National Council of Education and Research Training. NCERT set up CBSE to lay down a common curriculum which makes it easier for persons employed in transferrable jobs to continue the study of their students with change of school even in mid – term. It was first started in government schools only.
