What subjects to choose after completing class 10 ?

Many students are faced with the same question - what subjects to choose after class 10? At this age students face dilemma because of many options available to them and hence require their parents help in making the right decision.

There are many options for students to choose after their class 10, such as:

  • Diploma, which can help in finding a job soon after their course gets complete.
(OR)
  • Continuing with regular course (Class 11 and 12).
After the completions of class10, students can either choose to do diploma or can continue their studies in class 11 and 12. There are three main streams in class11, where a student can choose, which course to be taken after their class10.

  • Science stream: Those who aspire to become scientists, doctors, engineers, technicians, teachers, etc, can choose this stream.
  • Arts stream: fast catching up with the other streams of education, this stream too offers some new opportunities. Those wanting to become journalists, advocates, teachers, entrepreneurs, can take up this stream.
  • Commerce stream: Those aspiring to become successful accountants, bankers, etc, can continue their education by choosing this stream.
Similarly, diploma is also another stream of education giving a direct entry into the respective fields of work. There are many such courses offered by universities in an attempt to help students earn their livelihood at the earliest. Unlike the regular courses, diploma is a short term, mostly job oriented course, which lasts for a duration of 2-3 years.

The list of courses offered as diploma is many. Fashion designing, informatics, automobiles, computers, interior designing, jewelry designing and the list goes on. With an array of courses available for students, this is fast becoming a preferred choice of study for many. As there is no job oriented courses available in class11, many students choose the diploma courses, where they can complete their education and move into the professional field at the earliest.
