How to reduce stress during the exams

Examination is a process, which assesses the student's understanding level in each subject. The educational board organizes exam at the end of each academic session and based on the performance in that test, students get scores in each subject. Consequently, they get results that comprise the scores attained in each subject. However, the exam is a mandatory process that students have to face from the elementary classes. In this respect, exam stress is a big hurdle for students as it hampers their preparation level as well as concentration. It badly gives impact on the performance of the students in tests. It is obvious that students face exam anxiety though they prepare well for each test. Moreover, this anxiety varies from student to student. This stress hinders student's understanding level as well as writing skill that they require to give their best in the exams. However, some generic steps are discussed here that can motivate students during the exam preparation.
  • Make a constructive plan of study: Following a useful study plan is must for the students as it keeps them organized and engaged during the test preparation. Through a favorable routine, students can give required time to each subject.
  • Focus on your study: First complete the entire syllabus and then revise each chapter precisely. Consequently, students are recommended to practice sample papers, solved question papers, worksheets, especially Math worksheets in a repeated manner.
  • Eat healthy: Avoid junk foods and street foods during the test preparation as these foods may cause health issues. Don’t change your diet suddenly before the exams as it will take you out from the comfort zone.
  • Avoid constant reading books: Constant reading makes students tired and irritated. According to subject experts, students should take small breaks between regular learning times.
  • Prioritize your work: Focus on that subject which is not done completely. Self-evaluation is quite necessary before sitting for any exam. Based on that, students can understand their preparation level and work on each subject requisitely.
  • Maintain separate notebooks and write important points: Students must write down some important points as well as information for each subject separately so that they can check these points together one day prior to the final examination.
  • Relax: Take deep breaths and try to stay relaxed. Students should stay calm and composed one day before sitting for the test to avoid the influence of the exam stress.
