CBSE Class 10 Exam Preparation Tips

The CBSE class 10 board exam is conducted all over India. A large number of students from different parts of the country appear for the exam every year. The class 10 is considered the most crucial stage in school life as students are being exposed to the external exam. The exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education in order to determine the academic knowledge of students in various subjects. The class 10 board exam results decide the future career path for students. Based on the class 10 exam scores, students can choose an ideal subject stream at the higher level.  Science, commerce and arts are the popular subject streams that are offered to students after class 10 exam. To score well in the exam, students can follow some useful tips that are discussed below:
  1. Prepare a study plan: Proper planning is the key to success. The students who are appearing for the class 10 board exam should plan their studies properly. With the help of an updated syllabus, students can easily figure out the topics that are time consuming and carry maximum marks. They can allot specific days and time for those topics and can complete the entire course ahead of time.
  2. Study from the NCERT textbooks: The NCERT textbooks encompass value-based questions that students should prepare thoroughly before the main exam. Besides, the textbooks contain a detailed explanation of each topic, which will develop the knowledge of students and enable them to attempt questions confidently in the board exam.
  3. Make important notes: Highlights the topics that you find important while studying. Take a notebook and write down the topics and formulae that are important. These notes will help you in the test preparation.
  4. Practice CBSE sample question papers: Sample papers are specimen of an actual exam paper. The more you practice model paper, the better you will get to know about the question format. You can also work on your speed by practicing sample papers every day. By adhering to the time duration, you can solve a model paper and can check your proficiency at attempting the question.
  5. Study in a calm and quiet place: It is ideal to study in a quiet place. A suitable learning environment improves the concentration level of students and allows them to remember and retain things for a long time. Hence, students should study in a tranquil place during examination time.
