Five Ways to Exercise While Studying

Studying for the exam is certainly a daunting task. It is advisable for students to relax their body in between studies. It will surely refresh their mind and enable them to remember things thoroughly. Studying continuously for long hours is not good for health as it involves a lot of mental activity. It is extremely important to include some physical activities or exercises while studying. Early morning jogging is beneficial for students. Before starting your studies, go for jog as it will make you more energized and refreshed, and also stimulate your interest in studies. It is a true fact that exercises make a student more active and also improve his or her concentration level.  Let us understand the effective exercises that students can do while studying.

  1. Walking:  Walking is an ideal exercise for students. It will make a student fit and refresh. Long hour studies sometimes make students lazy and dull. Hence, it is good to walk to the library or around the park. It will rejuvenate your mind and allow you to study comfortably.
  2. Stretching: Stretching is the most easy exercise that a student can do while studying. Sit straight and raise your arms completely for 10 seconds. After stretching, you will definitely feel refreshed.
  3. Leg lifting: Sitting for long hours can make your leg, shoulder and neck muscles stiff. Hence, it is good to do some exercises between studies. Sit straight and lift your leg and hold it for 10 or 15 seconds at a 90 degree angle. It is a good way of reducing the stiffness of calf muscles.
  4. Deep breathing: Deep breathing is ideal for abdominal muscles and it is also a kind of meditation. Hold your stomach for a second and breathe in and breathe out. It is good to inhale some fresh air, if possible, take a walk outside and do deep breathing.
  5. Sit with a back support: Sitting up with a back support actually give some rest to your back and shoulder. Hence, take the support of a wall while studying.
