CAT Previous Year Papers

CAT is Common Admission Test and it is one of the toughest tests to get admission to the post graduate programs. IIM or Indian Institute of Management conducts this exam every year to take admission in different management courses starting from PGP-Agri Business Management to PGP Diploma in Management. It is a national level exam and it is conducted in English. Since 2007, this test has been assessing the students’ capability and proficiency level and based on that it allows them to take admission in different courses. It is a distinct examination as the percentile of CAT exam enables students to pursue courses in top B-schools in India. However, the average cutoff marks for top B-schools are 97 percentile.

CAT syllabus is well-prepared and organized. English/Verbal Ability, Math/ Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning are four parameters and through these each students’ proficiency level is gauged in a thorough manner. Verbal ability deals with the verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, antonyms, synonyms, idioms, sentence correction and others, whereas quantitative ability includes the geometry, number systems, probability, algebra, averages, etc. CAT data interpretation syllabus is all about the charts, graphs, tables and others. On the other hand, the logical reasoning syllabus is designed with the binary logic, calendars, assumption, conclusion, etc. To understand the entire syllabus, students must practice old question papers.
