Maths Syllabus for CAT Exam

CAT (Common Admission Test) is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams, which is conducted every year in India. The candidates who are able to qualify the CAT exam can get admission in postgraduate courses and fellow programs in management courses. These courses are offered by IIMs as well as several other reputed management institutes. The CAT scores are accepted by more than 100 non-IIM institutes in India. After considering the CAT percentile score, the shortlisted candidates are selected for written aptitude test, group discussion and personal interview.  The CAT is an online exam and conducted in various cities of India.  In the exam, aspirants are required to solve 100 questions in 180 minutes. The entrance exam covers questions from the following sections:
  • Quantitative Aptitude - 60 minute time duration
  • Data Interpretation and logical reasoning – 60 minute time duration
  • Verbal and reading comprehension 60 minute time duration

With the help of an updated syllabus, candidates can strengthen their knowledge in math and can score well in the quantitative aptitude section. In addition to this, CAT aspirants can also refer some past year papers and can understand the format of questions that are asked in the test. By solving these old question papers, candidates can improve their knowledge and skills and can attempt the questions confidently in the main exam.
